Description

RED HEN DEWORMER
Contains 60ppm Flubendazole

An effective and easy-to-administer dewormer with no egg withdrawal period.

Designed for use in worming programs targeting the most common intestinal worms found in poultry, including tapeworms, Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, Capillaria species, Amidostomum anseris, Trichostrongylus tenuis, and Raillietina species.

Thanks to Flubendazole's effectiveness against all stages of the worm lifecycle—adults, larvae, and eggs—this treatment offers long-lasting benefits for your flock. Eggs remain safe for consumption during and after treatment.

Why Worming Matters:
Worm infestations can be hard to detect, but they may impact egg production, shell quality, yolk color, and overall egg size.

Dosage Instructions:

  • Feed continuously for 7 days.

  • Use within 6 months of the manufacturing date.

  • Remove all other feed and allow birds to consume this feed freely (ad libitum) to ensure they receive the correct dose.

Treatment Scheduling:
Two methods are available:

  1. Routine Worming: 2–4 times per year

  2. Diagnostic Testing: Faecal floatation via a veterinary clinic or lab to assess worm burden and determine the need for treatment.

Recommended Treatment Frequency Based on Infection Pressure:

  • High: Every 3–4 weeks

  • Medium: Every 6–8 weeks

  • Low: Every 8–10 weeks

Note: Infection pressure is influenced by factors like stocking density and environmental cleanliness. Proper hygiene is critical for effective worm control.

Withholding Periods:

  • Meat: Discontinue medicated feed 7 days before slaughter.

  • Eggs: No withholding period required.

Contraindications:
Do not use Flubendazole in pigeons or parrots.
