Wombaroo Impact is a specially formulated colostrum supplement designed to support the immune system of newborn mammals and marsupial joeys during those critical first days of life. It can be used as a colostrum replacement for newborn mammals or as a milk supplement for marsupial joeys needing an extra immune boost.

Feeding Newborn Mammals

Suitable for a wide range of newborn mammals including puppies, kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, foals, alpacas, calves, lambs, piglets, deer, flying foxes, microbats, zoo animals and other placental mammals.

For the best results:

• Feed as soon as possible after birth, ideally before any milk is offered.

• Impact is most effective during the first 12 hours, although absorption may continue for several days depending on the species.

• Newborns that have missed out on their mother's colostrum should receive at least two doses within the first 48 hours.

First 12 Hours

• Prepare the recommended Impact dose.

• Feed one-quarter of the dose every 2 hours.

• Do not feed milk during this time.

12–48 Hours

• Begin normal milk feeds.

• Continue feeding one-quarter of the prepared Impact dose every 4 hours, between milk feeds.

Important: Never mix Impact with milk or feed them together.

Preparing the Dose

• Weigh your animal and use the recommended dose from the Wombaroo feeding chart.

• Mix the correct amount of Impact powder with warm, pre-boiled water until smooth. An electric whisk can be handy when preparing larger batches.

• Prepared Impact can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours or frozen for up to 2 weeks.

Feeding Marsupial Joeys

Suitable for kangaroos, wallabies, possums, wombats, koalas, bandicoots, carnivorous marsupials, echidnas and platypuses.

For joeys coming into care, Impact is ideally introduced within the first week, as the immune protection received through their mother's milk begins to decline after around 7 days and may be gone completely by 4–6 weeks.

Maintenance Dose

For ongoing immune support:

• Add 1g (approximately one moderately heaped spoon) of Impact to every 100mL of milk.

• Feed daily as required.

Concentrated Dose

For joeys that are newly rescued, unwell, stressed or approaching their first pouch emergence (Wombaroo Age Factor 0.6):

• Add 5g (approximately five moderately heaped spoons) to every 100mL of milk.

• Feed for up to 5 days, repeating every 4 weeks if needed.

• Always ensure joeys are well hydrated before feeding.
