Description

Got gaps around the skirting boards or a crack in the plaster before you paint? Bostik Gap Seal is a general-purpose, water-based acrylic gap filler for inside and outside the house. It grips well, doesn't slump, and once it's dry you can paint straight over it for a clean finish.

WHERE TO USE IT

• Skirting boards, architraves, plasterboard, and window and door frames
• Low-movement joints, such as between light partition walls
• Filling cracks in plaster, brickwork, concrete, aluminium, wood and glass

WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT

• Skins within about 15 minutes
• Paint over it after 2 hours with acrylic paint (about 2 to 3 days for oil-based paint; bigger gaps take longer)

HOW TO USE IT

1. Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust and grease, and remove any loose material or old filler.
2. Hold the caulking gun at 45° and squeeze with even pressure, moving along the gap at an even speed.
3. Smooth off with a wet finger, a wet putty knife or a damp cloth.
4. Clean up excess straight away with water or a damp cloth.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Not for joints that move more than 10%, for underwater or constantly wet areas, damp surfaces, foot-traffic areas, or outdoors when rain is likely within 4 hours.
• Apply between 5°C and 35°C. Store between 5°C and 25°C, out of direct sunlight, and don't let it freeze.
