Description

RUNNING COOL™ Senior is a fully extruded, conditioning feed carefully formulated for aged ponies and horses. It is a excellent feed for those ponies and horses in retirement that need conditioning and older ponies and horses exercising in light to moderate work.

Senior contains balanced levels of energy, high quality proteins and amino acids. It also contains enriched levels of micronutrients including anti—oxidant vitamins, minerals and chelated trace minerals to support the nutritional needs of your aged horse or pony whether they are permanently retired or still in some level of work.

The Extrusion process adds a large range of benefits compared to pelleted and standard feeds. RUNNING COOL™ Senior combines ingredients and processing techniques that cater for the unique dietary requirements of senior equines. Listed below are just a few advantages in feeding extruded products

- The extrusion process changes the nutritional characteristics making proteins, carbohydrates and liquids more available for the horse’s metabolism.

- The nutrients become more readily adsorbed in the small intestine, reducing overload into the hindgut.

- Extruded nuggets promote chewing and saliva production, which is essential for buffering stomach acids.

- Extruded feeds are low in dust and fines, making it an excellent feed for horses with respiratory problems.

Ingredients sourced from the following:

Barley, Lupins, Vegetable Protein meal (inc. Extruded Full Fat Soyabean meal), Legume Hulls, Millrun, Vegetable oil, Calcium phosphate, Limestone, Lysine, Salt, Running Cool™ Multi-vitamin and mineral supplement.
