Agronomy & Management

Fertiliser:
For best results, address soil fertility and acidity before sowing. Applying 60–100 kg/ha of MAP or DAP at sowing can provide starter phosphorus and nitrogen.

Weed Management:
Reducing the weed burden before sowing can help give Fuze the best start. Where weeds are present, an appropriate knockdown herbicide can be used prior to sowing.

Grazing:
Allow plants to become well anchored before the first grazing. A simple pull test at grazing height can help determine whether plants are sufficiently established. For strong growth, rotational grazing is recommended, with ryegrass grazed around the 2.5–3 leaf stage before being given time to recover to the same stage.
