Placid Rein® — Calm & Consistent Support for Horses

Some horses are naturally more highly strung than others, and changes in routine, travel, training or competition can add to the pressure. Placid Rein® has been developed to provide nutritional support for the horse’s normal response to stress and help maintain a calm, consistent attitude to work — whether at home or away.

Placid Rein® can be fed daily and long term to naturally nervous or excitable horses, or used as part of a preparation routine in the lead-up to an event.

When might Placid Rein® be useful?

Horses that are feeling the pressure may show signs such as:

• Excessive sweating, even in moderate weather

• Becoming excitable or difficult to manage

• Changes in eating or drinking when away from home

• Losing condition, particularly during travel

What's inside Placid Rein®?

Placid Rein® contains a carefully selected combination of B vitamins, magnesium, seaweed-derived calcium, amino acids, Baikal skullcap and yeast prebiotic support.

B vitamins support normal nervous system function, while magnesium plays an important role in many processes throughout the body and supports normal neural function and behavioural responses to stress.

Seaweed-derived calcium provides a natural source of calcium and magnesium, while Baikal skullcap, tyrosine and glutamic acid provide nutritional support for normal responses to stress and anxiety.

TruEquine Ultra (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) provides yeast prebiotic support, helping complement digestive health during times when your horse may be under additional stress.

Feeding Guide

Placid Rein® should be introduced gradually into the diet over a two-week period. Where possible, split the daily amount between morning and evening feeds.

1 scoop = 35 g

For a 500 kg horse:

• Morning: 1 scoop (35 g)

• Night: 1 scoop (35 g)

Placid Rein® can be fed daily as part of your horse’s regular routine, or introduced approximately five days before an event.

Always ensure your horse has access to plenty of clean, fresh water.
